Christina Day 9: Press the Word of God – Keep Faith

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Joshua 1:8 NIV

Today Joyce is reminding and guiding us to PRESS THROUGH with spiritual strength and look up to God.  If keeping your faith focused on God and when in doubt, need, or feeling alone you look up to HIM and only him you will begin to build the strength of where your salvation, peace and strength will come from.

God is here for us and in his word, The Bible, he has clearly laid it all out for us.  What he expects from us. What he will give us. What he will do to us. And of course What comes over time for all of us.  His one main request/rule is to follow his word – to live by the Law he has put down for us through the hands of his faithful followers throughout the time.

I have a hard time focusing on the UP when I am in need – if I am feeling alone I turn to my husband, if I am feeling stressed I hold it in and also turn to my husband, and if I am feeling lost I turn inward and to friends – so a lot of times when I finally realize what I am doing I feel like God is sitting on the wall in front of me just looking over at me saying “How’s this working out for you?”  wondering when I am going to get it…  I cannot promise it will be today or tomorrow but I can promise I am going to work on it.  IF God can save the hungry by bringing mana for them to live on, to supply fish and bread to those who believed but were suffering and also provide the necessities of life to those that do not have but believe (along with the spiritual calmness inside) why am I trying so hard to do it on my own or seek comfort outside of his arms?

Dear Lord I Pray…

Dear Jesus – I hear you!  I am not sure how it is sinking through this thick skull but I hear you and I realize I need to do something – I need to readdress and adjust my focus for sure!  I pray that over the time I will master the fact that YOU are my rock and my strength – YOU are the one I am to look to in a time of need not others – and YOU will save me when it is appropriate to do so all I need to do is look UP AND ASK for help.  Lord you are an amazing God and Father – you have taken the time to touch each one of us, your children, and I thank you for that.  I vow today to work on looking to YOU every morning and night in Thanks and in conversation.  IN YOUR NAME I PRAY…AMEN
