Today’s lesson was short and sweet with Joyce and the message was loud and clear to me… TRUST – study the word and lay down your studies and trust that Jesus will continue to bring out of you what he put in you through those studies.

Today I purchased The Story of the Bible for my nook – I have the hard cover, in fact we have two copies in my house because Jodie said he wanted one too.  I started reading the hard cover but found when I was traveling I could not take it with me because it was so big that I let it go and did not pick up again.  This is where I want to spend my time through this commitment I was getting so much out of it before that I want to pick it back up and I DO BELIEVE that is what I am being led to do and pick up.

The challenge of the 30 minutes for 30 days is a complete commitment that one, namely me in the example, has made and I tend to work to keep it – I look forward to it and do not look at it as something “I have to do” but something “I am lucky enough to GET to do”!

I completed the first chapter of The Story of the Bible – it covered the creation of Earth and the creation of Man and Woman – along with the forbidden fruit.  It then goes to share the story of Noah and his family and the repopulating the world.  It also shared the commitment God made to Noah, that he will never flood the earth again and destroy life – in giving that commitment he created a rainbow to always be a reminder that he will not flood the earth again.

Dear Lord I Pray..

Dear Jesus, I pray that you will help me with my commitment whispering in my ear when you see I am straying. I know you will help give me disciple and discernment for those things that pull me from being your daughter.  Jesus I am so excited to be sharing in the word you have given us to help us live better lives and to become better people helping all those in need out.  Jesus I look on today as a day of a fresh start with my book in hand and the warmth in my heart. Lord Thank you for being a faithful Father and loving me so deep! IN YOUR NAME I PRAY… AMEN
