It is Tuesday – time to share about my Trials and Triumphs (hopefully today and on the Tuesdays to come). 🙂
You may be thinking… “I understand why you would like to share about your triumphs – that gives the glory to God, but why share about your trials?” I thought this myself when I originally had the idea to write about both trials AND triumphs.
Well, here is my thinking about that…
Everybody’s walk with Christ is different and everyone has their own personal struggles – sharing about them lets people know they are not alone and lets others know how they can pray for you – and I wholeheartedly believe in the power of prayer. 🙂 I also believe that we should praise God in the difficult times of life as well as the good times and that it is okay to ask for help and accountability. God did not intend for us to go thorugh life alone, so asking for help and having an accountability partner or system is okay.
So, onto my struggle…
I am not sure why Istruggle with this so much, but Imentioned it on Monday as well – daily time alone with God.
I always feel like Iam struggling to stay on track with daily time with God. It really is a constant struggle for me. It is so tempting to snag a few extra minutes of sleep or get busy with work or get distracted with Facebook or things going on in the house and with my family. For me, it is all about the distractions in life that pull me away from what is really important. I think the struggle and the constant battling I feel over devotional time is the evil one trying his darndest to damage my daily connection with God. It has to be because each day I don’t have that time with God, life is more difficult, more stressful, and Ifeel miserable. When I have that time with God, I feel strong, empowered, and connected.
It is definitely a struggle for me – and it may be your struggle as well. If you struggle with this also, I would love to hear from you in the comments below so I can pray for you or if you feel led to, you can submit a prayer request to us so that others besides me can pray for you as well.
May you experience triumphs ths week and may you learn from your trials and be blessed!
