Living in Peace: This is a tough area for everyone I think – It is easy to live in peace if you live alone in the middle of nowhere and have a life that is “off the grid.” BUT, that is not reality for most of us. (more…)

Alicia’s Days 62 & 63: Weekly Checkup & Reflection
Dear Father,
Help me to always speak wisely, with instruction as my intent, especially when correcting the children. Help me to avoid idleness and always keep a watchful eye over my household and my family.

Alicia’s Days 55 & 56: Weekly Checkup & Reflection
Well, I fell off the regular daily postings wagon, but I hope to fix that soon. 🙂 I have still being doing my TAG each day, but the posts have gotten pushed aside for online work. Shame on me! BUT, God doesn’t want me to feel bad about it, so I will get it caught up and move forward. Not worth stressing about the past… (more…)

Cumulative Verse Review:
The underlined parts were the “fill in the blank” sections from the book. Anything in BOLD ITALIC CAPS I got wrong this time…

Alicia’s Day 35: Weekly Reflection
This past week I did pretty well with the memory verse , well the cumulative one at least. I got a little confused on the part that says “and her lamp does not go out at night.” For some reason in my mind, I remembered it as and burning brightly all the night long. Alicia’s Day 14 – Reflecting and preparing for the week to come…
I absolutely LOVE how this study handles the Sunday reading and reflection. This is so vitally important – allowing the opportunity to review the ups and downs and refocus our energies. I learned the power of reflection when I was teaching and it is obvious through this study just how important it is!
I was able to rewrite my memory verse with the fill in the blank method. I was also able to recite all 4 verses to myself without peeking :)! I am amazed by this as memorization has never been a strong skill for me. I am so excited by this! (more…)
