Great check list of things to get together – hmmm not much we probably did not know already but that “avoidance” thing keeps coming into play! Getting all of the information from your wallet, your passport, legal docs, emergency contacts and any “directives” together NOW is great advice. I want to get this going and add it to my long term projects so that I have the reminder to keep it up to date and have the family aware of how important it is… Here is my check list:
Learn MoreWell, the real title was “Get Equipped for a Clean House” – but I’m a little bit silly and a while lot nerdy, so “Cleaning caddies AHOY” it is!
Praise God that I have enough blessings to make all the messes that need to be cleaned – even that little ornery dog that likes to leave me “presents” on the carpet for me to find in the morning is a blessing in his own way. 🙂 Despite his presents, his PRESENCE is a comfort to me and he is a good little buddy.
Learn MoreToday’s lesson reminds me of a comedian I saw once on a Christian Comedy Show called Bananas. The comedian’s name was Bone Hampton (Bone Hampton’s YouTube Channel) and I could not track down the video where he sang his clutter song, but it was hilarious. LOL. He sang, to the tune of Sanford and Son:
“Cl- Cl- Clutter. Clutter Clutter Clutter. Cl – Cl- Clutter…”
But, now EVERY TIME I hear the word CLUTTER, that funny song runs through my head. 😉
Learn MoreI love how this lesson started out. Close to the beginning, I read:
20% of your house creates 80% of your problems!
This is sooooo true! Off the top of my head, I could name two trouble spots within seconds – the high counter in my kitchen and the top of my dresser!
Learn MoreHome management – revisiting the 80/20 rule we did weeks back and now we are applying it to our homes – hmmm. In the study it is said 20% of our home consumes 80% of our time keeping it organized and or cleaned. Identifying this time consuming area is the key to it all!
Learn MoreToday with the focus on clearing out and having less stuff being best really hits home. I just had the house painted and I had to move all of the knick-knacks out, take all the pictures down and empty the “stuff” out of the house and wow what a breath of fresh air that was! I totally agree, Less Is Best!
