  • Christina’s Day 79… PrePay Your Mortgage

I have always heard about paying down your mortgage faster than it is scheduled to be paid off…  I never truly found a “plan of action” that I could wrap my head around.  I am sure Dave Ramsey, in the Financial Peace University had a great plan – but when taking that course I really focused on other areas like Credit Cards and saving my first $1,000 to start that program.  But listening to Donna Partow now hearing just add 10% of your payment each month – I can hear that now. • Alicia’s Day 64: I Love My Husband

I want to become the wife God wants me to be, even if that means stepping out of my comfort zone, even if that means changing things about me, even if that means asking my husband what he wants me to change about my demeanor.

  • Alicia’s Days 55 & 56: Weekly Checkup & Reflection

Well, I fell off the regular daily postings wagon, but I hope to fix that soon. 🙂 I have still being doing my TAG each day, but the posts have gotten pushed aside for online work. Shame on me! BUT, God doesn’t want me to feel bad about it, so I will get it caught up and move forward. Not worth stressing about the past… (more…)

Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.”

Christina’s Day 45… Purging MORE STUFF

Wow, I think Donna Partow is looking in my closets, cupboards, under my bathroom sink and all my other “gathering” places!  Surely I am the “only one” that collects so much STUFF that I either don’t wear, don’t use or hold on to things even when they do not look good me! hehehe Well she blew the whistle on everyone – I am not the only person! And neither are you!  Good to know, huh? (more…)

  • Alicia’s Day 42 – Weekly Reflection

  • Christina’s Day 30…. 80/20 Rule Pareto Principle

Pareto Principle… the 80/20 Rule – we hear about this everywhere and how it effects our lives.  The connection most shared is 20% of the worlds people generate 80% of the world’s economy.

  • Alicia’s Day 14 – Reflecting and preparing for the week to come…

I absolutely LOVE how this study handles the Sunday reading and reflection. This is so vitally important – allowing the opportunity to review the ups and downs and refocus our energies. I learned the power of reflection when I was teaching and it is obvious through this study just how important it is!

I was able to rewrite my memory verse with the fill in the blank method. I was also able to recite all 4 verses to myself without peeking :)! I am amazed by this as memorization has never been a strong skill for me. I am so excited by this! (more…)
