Auditory learning… reading the content out loud (loud enough to hear it well, not a little whisper) gives us another learning style Lisa Whelchel shares in this day’s study. I think I like this method the best – I do find myself when I really need to concentrate on something I am writing or reading I read it out loud. So for learning I really feel this is the best for me.
One of my favorite things from my small group bible study is what ever we were studying the leader, Mike, would break it into peaces and have each one of us read that piece out loud to the group. It was really neat because not only did we get the benefit of listening to someone else and their “inflections” while reading but we all seemed to have different translations of the bible and we could share that too… boy I miss that the most!
Day three works like this – read this passage and “stress” each word while reading it several times over – so the first time you read it out loud you stress the first word, the second time – the second word, the third time – the third word and so on until you have read it out loud as many times as there are words in the passage. I am not sure about reading the passage over and over as many times as there are words in it but defilement out loud – as I say loud and proud!
Try it – here is our passage:
