Christina Day 6: God Is Mad At Me (NOT)

Posted by on Dec 9, 2014 in Joyce Meyer 30/30

Is God Mad At Me?

The word brings stability, fruitfulness, and fulfillment and all that we do will prosper. (see Psalm 1:3)

Often we allow guilt influence what others might think of us – or at least allow those feelings to inflict the “knowing of” how someone else feels about us.  As a whole I think we are all constantly doing something wrong or should I say “not the right way” and when we sit down and are quiet for a bit we then can hear and come to terms with the voice inside reminding us we did not do really what we were suppose to so then that has to mean God is Mad at me, right??

Christina Day 5: Trust in the Promises of the Lord

Posted by on Dec 6, 2014 in Joyce Meyer 30/30

Trusting in the Lord

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Today’s lesson was short and sweet with Joyce and the message was loud and clear to me… TRUST – study the word and lay down your studies and trust that Jesus will continue to bring out of you what he put in you through those studies.

Tricia: Day 4 – A little bit of discipline goes a long ways

Posted by on Dec 5, 2014 in Joyce Meyer 30/30

I get it.

I finally get it.

I am not sure what clicked.  Ok I am.  I have taken the last three days of Joyce’s 3030 challenge and today when it started talking about discipline it finally clicked.  I got it.  And I made it work and I love it.

Today as Joyce spoke about discipline it was like she was talking to me.  I need discipline.  I need it more than I want to admit I need it.  So I decided to give it a try.  I decided I was going to study discipline today.

Christina Day 4: Discipline is not a bad thing

John 15:5  …Apart from Me you can do nothing (NAS)

Today’s message hits home for me – discipline and self-control. Joyce is reminding use that Discipline in ones life is a necessity to success in all areas – Personal Health, Financial Stability, and every other area in your life.  She is not using the word discipline to reference “punishments” but more of Self-Control.

I tend to be able to commit and stick to that commitment for long periods of time but recently I cannot seem to get the motivation to START what I am looking to discipline myself in like – getting back into working out and loose some weight.  For me my struggle is emotional, I know it.

Studying the Bible

Today’s verse:

He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave – Psalm 107:20

Joyce shares several tips on studying the bible today.  Again she helps reenforce we are not to just READ the bible but to take time to STUDY it.  Reading is ok but the truth and strength comes from the Studying of the word.  Dig deeper.  It is ok to find a passage and pick it apart, look at other “books” that will guide

Tricia: Day 3 – How to Really Study the Bible

Posted by on Dec 4, 2014 in Joyce Meyer 30/30

I love love love today’s teaching by Joyce, and I think the reason is because I have never really studied the bible.  Like I said in my day one, I have always just read the bible.  I open it up.  Read for half an hour and then I close the bible back up and go about my day. Yah sometimes I think about what I have read but I don’t really study anything in the bible.

But Joyce gave some great tips and just some great wisdom about actually studying the bible.
